About CSAN
When you join CSAN you immediately become part of the leading body supporting the business side of L(E)As.
CSAN facilitates knowledge sharing between public sector practitioners who wish to work together to improve commissioning and performance in the delivery of integrated children’s services. Our strength lies in our network approach which brings together practitioners in a variety of innovative and energetic ways
In addition to free delegate places at our events, CSAN members also benefit from:

- Access to our bi-weekly e-newsletter
- Online discussion forums – a new feature that has been launched with CSAN’s updated website this year

CSAN have extensive links with other CIPFA services and partner organisations including the DCSF.
In 20010/11, CSAN will be offering members an incredible choice of certificated events. With an exciting programme of 11 different events at regional locations across the country, member organisations can choose how best to spend their allocation of free delegate places to maximize the value for money they achieve from the Network.

Yours and Our Challenge for 2010/11
2010/11 is set to be the most challenging of all for local authorities. Main themes CSAN will target this year include:
- Comprehensive Area Assessment
- New policy changes to protect vulnerable members of society
- Implementation of the new Children, Skills ad Learning Bill/Act and revised guidance on the ‘duty to cooperate,
- The DCSF Children’s plan: Building Brighter Futures also sets high expectations on delivering improvements for all children and young people,
- Children’s Trust response to the Audit Commission’s report, ‘Are We There Yet?’.
