Welcome to CIPFA Children’s Services Finance Advisory Network (CSFAN)

The CIPFA Children's Services Finance Advisory Network (CS-FAN) is designed for Children’s Services finance professionals. The network has taken over the role of the Education Finance Advisory Network to reflect the changing nature and structure of finance functions in local government.

The service works through the maintenance of a lively and active network of subscribers and other participants which consists of:

  • Regular locally-based workshop sessions to enable the exchange of ideas and practice
  • Briefing sessions on key topics
  • Network surveys to identify current practice as specific queries arise
  • Written briefings and summarises of policy and legislative initiatives affecting the Children’s Services finance function
  • Web-based support

Around half of all Children’s Services Authorities in England have joined CS-FAN and are able to take advantage of this unique range of independent advice and support. If you are not yet a member and would like to get access to this growing network please contact Lisa Forster on 01430 423663 or via lisa.forster@cipfa.org.uk.
