Shane Flynn

Shane trained for the Audit Commission and District Audit both in field audit and value-for-money studies, including engagement in anti-fraud and corruption programmes in central London. He was a national key contact on a number of VFM studies including Money Matters and the first study developed under Best Value - Service and Financial Planning before joining CIPFA in 2000. For IPF he has led the provision of technical support and advice on a wide range of matters, including Education Finance, Children's Services, IT management and Finance in Wales.

Diana is the lead advisor on risk management and internal audit for the forum. Her professional qualifications are CIPFA and the Institute of Personnel Management. She was formally a Chief Internal Auditor in Local Government and was an external auditor with the National Audit Office.
