About Insurance Network

The aims of the IN service include:

1) To provide a focal point for insurance practitioners in the Public Sector to compare and contrast approaches to all aspects of insurance and assist in achieving best practice.

2) To raise awareness of current and possible future issues facing insurance practitioners in the Public Sector.

3) To assist in ensuring that an organisation's approach is the most cost effective and support the identification of savings that could be achieved now and in the future.

4) To raise awareness and provide learning/training opportunities for those involved in insurance in the Public Sector

5) To act as a focal point to bring together the various elements including the private sector to ensure information /best practice is available to all insurance practitioners.

6) To establish sustainable CIPFA Insurance Practitioners Groups in each of the regions as far as practicable and support allows.
