About PIN
PIN will help you cut through the theory by offering you opportunities to learn how others are really addressing key improvement challenges.
The network brings together three distinct services to provide a more rounded perspective on improvement issues. Drawing on this experience, the new service supports officers from policy & performance, procurement and ICT, as well as service managers who have a responsibility for performance improvement.
We focus on relevant topics in great depth to ensure that members can get to grips with the key practical issues and deliver real improvements in their organisations. This includes providing support and advice through:
- 'Discussion' papers - highlighting some of the key issues associated with a particular topic
- Practical workshops - held regionally around the UK
- 'How-To' guides - providing practical advice on undertaking particular tasks
- Event materials and write-ups - including a list of the '10 key lessons' from each series of workshops
- Articles - in the quarterly 'PINpoint' magazine and weekly newsletters
- Virtual practice groups or working parties - run through the PIN website to provide ongoing support after the workshop series is complete
