About PAN
The CIPFA Police Advisory Network (PAN) provides police practitioners and strategic decision makers with relevant, practical and up-to-date advice during a period of unprecedented public service reform and severe constraints on resources. The network focuses on strategic policing issues including police reform, new legislation, policy developments and a horizon scan of what's new in the world of policing and public service reform.
The network achieves this objective through effectively briefing and advising its members on legislation, guidance documents, inspection or audit reports, current issues and anticipated future developments. We focus on the practical implications for police forces and authorities. Timely and practical advice is offered via our events, documentation, e-mail updates, e-newsletter and advice line. We work with colleagues in the Home Office, HMIC, Audit Commission, CIPFA's Police Panel and CIPFA group, in order to bring you the most up to date information and developments.
