CIPFA Treasury Management Network (TMN)
Regional Groups
The Treasury Management Network is seeking to stimulate and support regional treasury management forums for practitioners to seek help and share ideas and experiences with their colleagues.
The CLG Select Committee said:
“We recommend that the Government, CIPFA and the LGA study ways in which local authorities, particularly smaller ones, could join together to share expertise and pool treasury management resources. The sharing of information and expertise, such as identifying banks that are in the same financial group, might have lessened the failures that occurred during the Icelandic crisis.”
The Network has now produced a short Guide to help organisations get together to establish such groups - See Below
